Tax Partner, PwC Netherlands
As inbound International Tax Services leader of The Netherlands, my dedicated team and I service both EU and non-EU MNEs desiring to establish or expand business in the world’s largest marketplace that is the European Union. This entails advising my clients on current and future Pillar 2 tax strategies and tax governance, but also on debt pushdown & group (re)financing, post mergers & acquisitions, reorganisations and inversions & migrations. Operating model & tax model optimisation and alignment are key elements in my work. Clients hail from jurisdictions such as France, Germany, UK, Italy, South Africa, US, Canada and Brazil, with deepened ties to the latter due to a 2 year secondment to the São Paulo office of PwC Brazil.
Our rich EU consumer market consists of 27 countries, each with their own rules & regulations. Brexit has left room for The Netherlands to step up, but to serve as the EU entry point for inbound companies requires having a strong intra-European network of partners and colleagues that help clients oversee and penetrate a very complex tax environment. Building up and maintaining these solid EU and digital-savvy networks is a skill and passion of mine, allowing international clients to lean on our trusted centres of excellence and subsequent thought leadership on shared EU topics.
‘Being partner at PwC Netherlands allows me the opportunity to stand by a person’s side consistently and reliably, whether this concerns a well-respected client, a team member or an international colleague. I possess a naturally curious mindset and ample energy to create original solutions and engage others to enable a business environment where all stakeholders feel appreciated and work together to attain results.’
