Overview curriculum

The foundation level covers all the climate risk fundamentals.

The curriculum is suitable for all industries. Topics covered are ‘What is ESG?’, Climate basics, Climate change, Climate risk foundation, Stakeholder expectations, Net Zero, ‘Other’ environmental risks and Climate resilience. The e-learnings are in the English language. The F1 module is also available in Dutch.

The ESG foundational curriculum consists of the following e-learnings:

The e-learnings can be delivered (as curriculum or individual modules) inhouse to organisations and/or teams. Organisations can choose to purchase the SCORM file or to use Pay per Registration. Please contact us for the possibilities. These e-learnings will be available in our e-learning webshop in the coming month(s).

Our ESG e-learnings are suitable for all learners who would like to increase their ESG and Climate foundational knowledge.

Our ESG e-learning modules allow learners across the globe to learn at their own pace. Our interactive elements throughout the modules encourage learners to engage with the content. Knowledge checks at the end of each chapter stimulate learners to think actively about the topics explained and make the knowledge stick.

F1: What is ESG

The module "What is ESG?" is a guide to understand the elements of E,S, and G. Examples of practical frameworks and agreements related to ESG are provided and the aim and key aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals are explained.

F2A: Climate basics / F2B: Climate change

F2A Climate basics

Discover the fundamentals of climate science with the module "Climate Basics". Learn about major human developments and the effect on the planet and climate system, and the greenhouse effect.

Duration: 25 minutes

F2B Climate change

Join the journey to tackle one of the greatest challenges of our time with the module "Climate Change". This course offers a deep dive into the urgency of climate change, including the tipping points that are fast approaching. Gain an understanding of the causes and impacts of climate change on our economy and society and explore examples of climate mitigation actions that can help us pave the way towards a more sustainable future.

F3: Climate risk foundation

Elevate your understanding of climate-related risks with the module "Climate Risk Foundation". In this course a comprehensive overview is given of the two types of climate risks - physical and transition - and how they impact various sectors. Discover the opportunities that arise from managing these risks effectively and take the first step towards building a more resilient future.

F4: Stakeholder expectations

Unlock the power of ESG stakeholder engagement with the module "Stakeholder Expectations". In this course a comprehensive overview is given of the different stakeholder groups that can impact a company's sustainability strategy. Take a dive deep into the importance of understanding stakeholder demands in ESG.

F5: Net Zero

Discover the power of "Net Zero" with this module that focuses on understanding net zero transformations. The course offers a comprehensive understanding of net zero strategies, including the current challenges in settling net zero ambitions and best practices across various industries. The module delves into two foundational concepts - the Green House Gas Protocol and the Science Based Target initiative - to help set effective net zero targets.

F6: ‘Other’ environmental risks

Explore the world of other environmental risks with the module "Other Environmental Risks"! In this course a comprehensive overview is given of various environmental risks, including loss of biodiversity, pollution, and the use of marine resources, based on the planetary boundaries framework. Take a deep dive into the impacts of these risks across different sectors and explore the opportunities that arise from managing them effectively.

Duration: 40 minutes

F7: Climate resilience

The module is an e-learning session covering the concept of climate resilience. It will cover climate change adaptation, climate change mitigation and the role of climate related risks. In five microchapters climate resilience is discussed in the context of high-emitting sectors.
