More and more organisations implement employee networks or diversity networks. These networks help to address challenges that certain groups within the organisation may experience and connect like-minded individuals. Employee networks or diversity networks are platforms for employees to come together based on a specific shared characteristic, for example age, gender identity, cultural background, work challenges or sexual orientation. Research shows that employee networks contribute to greater inclusivity within an organisation.

PwC Netherlands has five employee networks that represent the diversity within our firm: WomenNL, Shine, Ability, Connected Cultures and YoungPwC. To share the lessons we have learned with our clients we have developed the Employee Network Expansion Toolkit. This toolkit includes best practices and experiences for setting up and professionalizing employee networks within an organisation.

This training course is designed based on our Employee Network Expansion Toolkit. Participants to this course learn how to enhance inclusion and diversity in their own organisation using employee networks. The training focuses on the added value of employee networks, setting up a governance structure for them, organising support and increasing employee engagement through interventions.
