The organisation faces inefficiencies in their internal processes and has the desire to eliminate these while optimising their internal control.

Inefficiencies were lowering the ROI significantly and were caused by employees needing to perform tasks that did not really add value, but merely served as work preparation.

For example, relevant sector-specific data couldn’t be obtained efficiently whereas it is critical for management purposes.

Approach

To understand the challenge of the client the Smart Automation & Quantitative Solutions team first provided an inspiration session during which concrete examples and demos were presented that unrevealed the power of data and technology. Several topics were addressed during this session, such as the automated gathering and processing of data, the enrichment of internal data using external data sources and the visualisation of sector-specific data.

The Smart Automation & Quantitative Solutions team advised and supported the client to gather, enrich, validate and analyse data to determine optimal rent-out prices in an efficient way. As part of this real estate analysis, the data is automatically extracted from the real estate software database and connected to relevant external data sources.

By making use of the possibilities of this 'data workflow', the customer is now able to have real-time insight in relevant data needed for determining the optimal rent-out price, all in the click of a button.

Result

Through smart automation and the availability of relevant (sector-specific) data, employees are able to now save a considerable amount of precious time and simultaneously gain insights that they did not have before, which enables optimization of the rent-out prices. At the same time, employees are digitally upskilled, which resulted in more efficient and data-driven decision-making with a huge increase in the digital mindset on the work floor.
