The client has the ambition to become Europe’s preferred airport and the best digital airport. Finance and Procurement are important functions to enable this ambition. Having a best in finance program will accommodate this by focusing on quality and being in control while also increasing efficiency. A new ERP Cloud solution is a crucial and integral part of this. An ERP Cloud transition plan, including a realistic and feasible business case and roadmap, is required to map out the journey.
We have brought in (finance) best-practice processes to identify the main gaps between current and ‘to be’ best in class processes and improvement potential. Subsequently, we have performed a detailed technology fit analysis for 3 ERP Cloud solutions. Our knowledge regarding ERP Cloud solutions and MDM expertise was input for the transition plan. At the same time we involved all stakeholders and committed them through careful change management.
The process design and technology fit assessment, ERP Cloud vendor selection and MDM design helped the customer to identify how benefits and efficiency improvements can be achieved by moving to an ERP Cloud solution. It provided insight in the impact, scenarios and roadmap and allowed definition of the business case for initiating the program to migrate the current ERP landscape to ERP Cloud. Further, the client used the transition plan including business case and roadmap as a base for the RFP process regarding ERP Cloud implementation.
