Sustainable progress is a necessary pursuit in business. Those who want to be and remain future-proof must take action. This also applies to PwC.
Our ambition? To be at the forefront of major sustainability topics such as CSRD and net zero, and to share our experience in implementing sustainability in business strategy with our clients. PwC's Corporate Sustainability team translates ambition into action based on carefully selected SDGs. Together, we ensure that your actions also make a difference.

PwC is the expert in the field of financial reporting and non-financial reporting. Since 2011, PwC has been reporting based on integrated reporting and we have started preparing for CSRD.
Our current annual report and transparency report serve as a steppingstone towards a PwC annual report that fully integrates the CSRD requirements. To optimize and integrate our sustainability strategy with our business strategy, we are currently conducting an internal double materiality analysis and gap analysis. This contributes to transparency, which is essential towards our stakeholders.
All about the CSRDPwC is making every effort worldwide to operate net zero by 2030. This means that we will reduce our absolute emissions to the maximum extent possible, with a minimum of fifty percent. We are achieving this by reducing the number of flights taken by our employees by fifty percent since 2019, using 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for the remaining flights, and aiming for a 100% electric vehicle fleet by 2025.Â
To finance our sustainable transition, we implemented an internal carbon price in 2017. Our emissions directly form the basis for our net zero budget. Additionally, PwC The Netherlands uses 100% renewable electricity and 100% green gas through solar panels and LED lighting.
Our Net zero ambitionTo accelerate the necessary transition to a nature-positive economy, PwC launched the Centre for Nature Positive Business in 2023, with over five hundred specialists within the global PwC network.
In addition, we also use the Biodiversity Impact Screening Tool developed by PwC to measure the impact of our activities on nature and adjust our policies. For example, in the catering sector, we have made a significant transition from animal proteins to plant-based proteins, and the plant-based option is now the standard in our banqueting offerings. We also improve biodiversity in the renovation of our parking garages by adding vegetation and creating a wadi, a shallow water storage.
PwC is also an early adopter of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), and we are closely involved in the new TNFD initiative Data Catalyst.
